Amanda Benedicta Antony (born July 24, 1993) popularly known as Amanda Black, is a South African singer and songwriter, who was born and bread up in the Eastern Cape in the city of Mthatha.
Having moved around a lot throughout her childhood, Amanda is a true child of the soil, having lived both in the Eastern Cape and Johannesburg.
Her musical influences are as a result of her to posure to different ways of life having attended a number of primary schools and
high schools as her family moved. She completed her high school studies in Port Elizabeth at Kabega Christian School and Matriculated in 2011.
After her Tertiary education Amanda enrolled into Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Elizabeth where she took up a course in music studies, Amanda says her mother insisted that she had to study further and the natural option to study to her was of curse her greatest passion. She Graduated in 2015 with a Diploma in Music Education.
