The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has disclosed that it would soon name a new sponsor for the elite league, adding that it was striving to ensure all the logistics were put in place to revolutionise the game.

Speaking to The Guardian yesterday, NBBF’s Media Officer, Patrick Omorodion, explained that the federation was working closely with the league sponsors to get the best out of the players this season.

Omorodion revealed that all the teams for the 2017 league have started preparing for the tournament, adding, “The date for the commencement of the league, as well as the identity of the new sponsors of the male league would be announced after the board’s pre-season meeting on Monday. “Players and officials’ welfare is our top priority because it is one of the key factors that will make the league successful,’’ he said.
