Marcus Rashford insists Manchester United will be on a revenge mission when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-finals at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho’s side suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat against the Premier League leaders in west London in October.

It was a chastening afternoon for former Chelsea boss Mourinho on his first return to the Bridge since being sacked at the end of his second spell with the Blues.

Chelsea fans rubbed salted into their old idol’s wounds by chanting “You’re not special any more” at the manager who once dubbed himself ‘the special one’.

Now United have a chance to make amends in the FA Cup after Sunday’s draw pitted them against Antonio Conte’s runaway leaders.

Asked if United owed Chelsea one, Rashford said: “Yeah, definitely. They’ve got one over us.”

Rashford scored United’s first half equaliser as they moved into the last eight of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win at second tier Blackburn on Sunday.

And the young England striker sees no reason why United can’t avenge that October defeat at Chelsea despite their opponents’ fine form this season.

“I mean, at this stage of the competition you’re going to be facing a good team no matter where you go,” Rashford said.

“I think we’ve just got to take it game by game. We’re on a good run of form and so are they, so I think it’ll be a good game.

“But we’ll go there confident and to win the game.”

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, who turns 93 on Tuesday, has no plans to give up power, saying he has no “acceptable” successor in place.

“The call to step down must come from my party, my party at congress, my party at central committee,” Mugabe said in excerpts from a radio broadcast that will air this week and that were printed in the state-owned Sunday Mail newspaper.

“But then what do you see? It’s the opposite. They want me to stand for elections.”

“The majority of the people feel that there is no replacement, a successor who to them is acceptable, as acceptable as I am,” he added.

Mugabe, who has kept an iron grip on power since Zimbabwe declared independence in 1980, has repeatedly denied reports of health problems.

Thousands of supporters gathered Saturday to finally celebrate the inauguration of Gambian President Adama Barrow, a month after he was sworn in across the border in neighbouring Senegal during a tense power struggle.

February 18 is also the anniversary of The Gambia’s independence from Britain, but many are also calling the day the birth of a third republic following the ousting of Yahya Jammeh at the ballot box.

The festivities began Saturday morning at Independence Stadium in Bakau, west of the capital, and were to be attended by several African heads of state as well as high-ranking diplomats.

The Gambia’s first leader, Dawda Jawara, who governed from independence in 1965 until the 1994 coup mounted by Jammeh, has also been invited, organisers told AFP.

Crowds of hundreds began to gather as early as 3:00 am.

“I spent the night here at the stadium. This is to ensure that I can have a smooth passage inside”, said Isatou Dibba, a Barrow supporter.

US and British diplomats were finding it difficult to enter the stadium, an AFP correspondent reported, as people who had not been able to get inside massed against a heavy security presence.

Barrow will retake the oath of office he first made at the Gambian embassy in Senegal, whose territory almost entirely surrounds The Gambia and whose president, Macky Sall, is seen as Barrow’s closest ally.

Later he will address the nation, and 52 pigeons, representing each year of independence from Britain, will be released.

The swearing-in ceremony on January 19 was held at a fraught time for the tiny west African nation, as Jammeh was refusing to step aside and acknowledge the result of the election Barrow won several weeks earlier.

Senegal spearheaded efforts to deploy west African troops in The Gambia after Jammeh’s departure, in order to secure a country whose military forces were riven with factions still loyal to the ex-leader.

Around 500 Senegalese, Ghanaian and Nigerian soldiers remain in the country and were helping provide security for the celebrations on Saturday.

President Sall is a guest of honour at the ceremony, while Liberian leader Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who pushed for mediation efforts with Jammeh during his last days in office, is also expected.

Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz was to attend, another key mediator during the nation’s crisis, along with US Assistant Secretary of State Linda Thomas-Greenfield, in a sign of efforts to reset ties with the West.

Hugh Anthony Quarshie (born December 22, 1954) is a Ghanaian-born British actor of stage, television and film.

Some of his best-known roles include his appearances in the films Highlander (1986), The Church (1989), Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), and the Doctor Who episodes ‘Daleks in Manhattan’ and ‘Evolution for the Daleks’ (2007) as well as his long-running role as Ric Griffin in the BBC medical drama Holby City (2001–present).

Quarshie has played the role of Ric for over 15 years and is the longest serving cast member in Holby City.

Quarshie is of mixed Ghanaian, English and Dutch ancestry. He was born in Accra, Ghana, to Emma Wilhelmina (née Philips, 1917–2004) and Richard Quarshie, an African of chiefly ancestry, emigrating with his family to the United Kingdom at the age of three. He was educated at Bryanston School in Dorset and Dean Close School in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (during which time he played the role of Othello at the Tuckwell Theatre), before reading PPE at Christ Church, Oxford.

Quarshie had considered becoming a journalist before taking up acting. He is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and has appeared in many stage productions and television programmes, including the serial Behaving Badly with Judi Dench. He is well known for playing the roles of Sunda Kastagir in Highlander, Captain Panaka in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace , and Ric Griffin in the TV series Holby City. He appeared in the 2007 two-part Doctor Who episode “Daleks in Manhattan”/”Evolution of the Daleks” as Solomon, the leader of the shanty town Hooverville. He headed the cast of Michele Soavi’s The Church (1989) as Father Gus, and played Aaron the Moor in the BBC Television Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus.

Quarshie has also narrated for TV. His work includes the 2006 documentary Mega Falls of Iguacu (about the Iguaçu Falls), the 2009 adaptation of Small Island, and the 2010 BBC Wildlife series Great Rift: Africa’s Wild Heart. In September 2010, he featured in an episode of Who Do You Think You Are?, in which he traced his Ghanaian and Dutch origins. The episode revealed one of his ancestors to be Pieter Martinus Johannes Kamerling, a Dutch official on the Gold Coast, making Quarshie a distant relative of Dutch actor Antonie Kamerling.

Quarshie is a supporter of the Women’s Equality Party.

Adewale Ayuba popularly known as Ayuba, Mr. Johnson and the Bonsue-fuji maestro was born May 6, 1966 in Ikenne Remo, Ogun State Nigeria. He grew up as a child singer. By the age of eight, he started singing at Local Musical Competitions and fiestas in Ikenne. This led to his option for music as a career after his secondary school education at Remo, Secondary School, Sagamu, Ogun State.

Although he gained admission to read Architecture at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, his music career took center-stage and in a bid to curve a niche for himself, he made his first album IBERE {Beginning} at the age of 17. After his return in 1993, he released another chart topping album, Buggle D on Premier Music (Nigeria) label. If Bubble was tremendous success, Buggle D was a run-way success. It instantly became a hit, winning multiple awards at the Fame Music Awards (FMA) and topping the music chart for several months. In 1994, Ayuba took a bold step with a vision to “Internationalizing Fuji Music” and embarked on the sojourn of the United Kingdom and the United States of America with his band. While he was in America in 1995, he recorded different feats, performing at various international concerts including the 1996 Summer State Concerts in New York, the African Mondo Concerts of 1996 and 1997, the New Orleans Jazz Festival of 1997, the 1997 International Festival in Houston, Texas, the Black Entertainment Television(BET Jazz), U.S.A. Concert. He was signed on by Q-disc Record Company of U.S.A for a year contract and he released Fuji Time on the company’s label in 1996. In 1997, he released Fuji Dub on Agogo Music Label in London, England.

In 1998, he came back to Nigeria and released yet another successful album, Acceleration on the Corporate Music label.

In 2000, he released a mega-hit album, Turn Me On. Turn Me On broke music records in Nigeria and emerged as the Best Fuji Album of the Year at the Awards for Musical Excellence in Nigeria (AMEN) and as the Best Song of The Year at the Nigerian Song Festival (NISOFEST) 2000. In the same year, he toured several European countries including England, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium. He was awarded as a Distinguished Son of Ikenne Remo, his birthplace, in 2001 in a colorful ceremony at the Ikenne Local Government,Ikenne, Ogun State.
